Insignia Control: Authorized Roster, Patch Ledger, Retired Numbers

Your patches, SECURITY lettering and officer numbers tell staff, visitors and the public who works for you. Every piece made for you is a controlled item, from the roster it was made against to the moment it is sewn on, held or destroyed.

  1. 01

Only your authorized contacts can order

You name them at the start, usually the operations manager and the licensing or HR lead. A roster or spare-patch request from anyone else, a site supervisor or your client included, goes back to an authorized contact.
  2. 02

Every number is checked before it is made

Your numbering scheme, checked for format and duplicates against every number issued in the program. Each number is issued once by default; a leaver's number is retired. Names and numbers go onto a proof your authorized contact signs.
  3. 03

Every patch is counted on a patch ledger

Per program and batch: made, sewn on, held in our store, rejected and destroyed. Made equals the other three. Hook-and-loop patches count too, and the ledger ships with every shipment.
  4. 04

Rejects and surplus are cut through and logged

A faulty patch, misprinted transfer or off-sample slide is cut through on the spot. Nothing is sold or released outside your program.
  5. 05

Spares stay locked in our store

Held in your program location and shipped loose only on an authorized contact's written request, with the count on the packing list and the ledger.
  6. 06

Every garment carries its number inside

An inside label with program code and officer number traces a stray garment back to the roster it was made against.
  7. 07

    Unreturned numbers are flagged

You report a number not returned; we flag it. A replacement set for that number is made only after an authorized contact confirms.
  8. 08

    At program end, you choose

Remaining insignia is destroyed with a record, or shipped to you.

Every patch made for this batch ends in one of three places, and the ledger proves it. Not an authorized contact: the request goes to your authorized contact, the store stays locked, the ledger does not move. 0147 is retired and never issued again. Its jacket is still out, so the number is flagged; a replacement set is made only after an authorized contact confirms. The held patches leave the store one of two ways, as you decide: destroyed with a record, or shipped to you.

03Contract security

Contract Security Company Uniforms for Many Sites and Changing Contracts

For providers placing officers at offices, retail centres, logistics yards, residential buildings and industrial plants. The guard force grows with every new contract, and officers join, move and leave all year.
Two security officers in white shirts handing over at shift change outside a client office tower
  1. ①Fixed point
The client contract. Each site starts on a contract date, and the officers posted there are in full uniform on the first shift.
  2. ②From you
Your patch artwork, your numbering scheme and a roster per client site (name, number, size, site, role) from your authorized contact. A client-site patch arrives with that site's roster.
  3. ③What we do
The roster is checked against the authorized-contact list and every number for duplicates and format. Colours are lab-dipped, patches woven or embroidered, slides embroidered, and names and numbers proofed for signature before stitching.
  4. ④Contract changes hands
Win a site from another provider and the transferring officers need your patches the day you take over. A client's own site patch opens a new version of the program item list, re-signed by you. Numbers carry over unless you send new ones.Site supervisor handing labelled uniform packs to officers transferring to a new contract
  5. ⑤Between contracts
New officers go on the monthly new-starter run, site on the label, packed per officer. Spare patches stay in your program location until an authorized contact asks in writing.
  6. ⑥At handover
One carton of person-packs per client site, labelled by name or number, size and site; the patch ledger for that shipment; the next monthly run already open.

Security Guard Uniforms by Operation: Styles, Colours and Insignia Positions

The same garment range serves all three operations. What changes is which garments each one chooses and where the insignia sits.
Garments
White, light blue or black shirts with dark navy or black duty trousers, a knit pullover and an insulated jacket for outdoor posts.
Insignia
Company patch on the left sleeve, client-site patch on the right where a client asks for one, slides on both shoulders, number on the chest.

Garments
Shirts or polos in the company's brand colour, softshell or fleece jackets for roles that move between indoors and out.
Insignia
Company logo as the shoulder patch, SECURITY on the chest and back. Reception roles carry names; patrol roles carry numbers only.

Garments

Insignia

Shirt build

Epaulette loops sized to the slides, two flap chest pockets with a pen slot, radio tab and mic loop. Numbers and chest lettering are embroidered on the cut panel before sewing, clear of pocket and placket, and set per size so they sit in the same place from XS to 5XL.

Colour over time

Each approved colour keeps a retained lab dip. Re-order fabric is measured against it at ΔE ≤ 1.0 before cutting, so a new officer's shirt matches the shirts already on post. How colour is held
05In-house security

In-House Security Department Uniforms in Your Company's Identity

Security officer uniforms for organisations that employ their own security staff: property and facility groups, university and corporate campuses, hospital groups and shopping centre operators.

①Fixed point

Your company's brand identity: logo and colours, with SECURITY lettering added so staff and visitors recognise the team at once.

②From you

Brand guidelines, logo files, the security roles (control room, patrol, reception desk, car park) and an HR roster sent by the authorized contact in security or HR.

③What we do

Your brand colour lab-dipped on shirt, trouser and jacket fabrics; the logo set up as shoulder patch and chest embroidery; each role's set fixed on the item list. Departments of 200+ people get a size set for a wear trial before bulk.

④Staff change through HR

A joiner is a roster row your authorized contact sends. A leaver's number is reported by HR, retired, and never issued again. Returned garments stay with you; the ledger shows which numbers are still out.

⑤Alongside

Reception, cleaning and maintenance teams can sit in the same program. Rolling out a whole company across sites: corporate uniforms.

⑥At handover

Each site's security office holds one pack per officer, the roster matches HR's list number for number, and retired numbers are marked on it.
06Event security

Event Security Uniforms Issued per Event and Counted Back

For companies staffing concerts, festivals, sports venues, conferences and exhibitions. Crew size changes from event to event, and uniforms are issued and returned around each one.
①Fixed point
The event date. Every crew member is identifiable as security from the moment the gates open.
②From you
Your logo, the SECURITY lettering size you want readable across a crowd, your crew numbering scheme and the size breakdown of your core pool.
③What we do
Polos and jackets with reflective SECURITY across the back, the sleeve patch and a crew number on the chest. Numbers only, no names, because one garment is worn by different crew across a season. Hook-and-loop patches are counted on the ledger.
④Issue and return
An issue sheet by crew number comes with every shipment. Your team records who received which number and counts the pool back afterwards; numbers not returned are reported and flagged on the roster.
⑤Between events
Pool top-ups from the same set-up records on the re-order lead time. Crews near traffic and car parks wear hi-vis with SECURITY on the back: custom safety vests.
⑥After the event
The returned pool sits sorted by number, the issue sheet shows which numbers are still out, and the next top-up is ordered against those gaps.

07One number

One Officer Number Through Three Operations: Roster to Leaving

Follow number 0147 through the three operations above. The steps are the same; what happens at each one differs.
  1. 1The number arrives
Contract companyOn the roster for a new client site, sent by the operations manager named as authorized contact.
In-house departmentFrom HR, when a new officer is hired.
Event securityOne number in a crew pool, with a size but no name.
  2. 2The check
Already issued or retired → back to the authorized contact
In all three, 0147 is checked against the program's issued numbers before anything is made. Then it goes onto the proof: with a name on in-house reception roles, as a number only on patrol and in event crews.
  3. 3The making
Contract companyEmbroidered or heat-applied on the chest, printed on the inside label; patches counted off the ledger against 0147, with the client-site patch on the second sleeve where that site has one.
In-house departmentThe same chest number and inside label, under the company logo patch and SECURITY lettering.
Event securityThe same, with hook-and-loop patches counted on the ledger.
  4. 4The pack
Contract companyOne person-pack labelled with number, size and site.
In-house departmentOne person-pack for that site's security office.
Event securityPacked with the crew pool and listed on the issue sheet.
  5. READ THIS ROW
    5The officer leaves
Contract companyThe operations manager reports 0147 and it is retired. If the jacket has not come back, 0147 is flagged, and a replacement set is made only after an authorized contact confirms.
In-house departmentHR reports the leaver and 0147 is retired the same way.
Event security0147 goes back into the pool after the event, unless your count shows it missing, in which case it is flagged.

08Build

Patch, Lettering and Number Build: Woven or Embroidered, Wash-Tested

How each insignia item is made, kept on the garment and kept readable through laundering. Shirt fabrics and the full decoration workflow are on custom work shirts.
  • A set-up record for every patch, slide, lettering and number
  • A wash test on the sample pieces
  • A first-piece check on every machine and press
Ask for the wash-test record with your quote
Macro of a woven shield-shaped shoulder patch with a merrowed edge and SECURITY lettering

Woven or embroidered shoulder patches

Woven holds fine lines, small text and many colours at up to 3.5 × 4 in / 9 × 10 cm. Embroidered gives raised lettering for bold logos and simple crests. Both are merrowed so the border does not fray, and both are made in-house.

How a patch is attached

Sewn round the merrowed edge on the sleeve before the sleeve is set into the shirt, so the stitching sits flat and the position is fixed by the pattern. Hook-and-loop on request; every removable patch is on the ledger.

Chest lettering and numbers

Polyester thread that holds up to industrial laundering and bleach, lettering from 5 mm, names 6–12 mm, cut-away backing on polos. Numbers can also be heat-applied in industrial-launderable transfer film.
Two shoulder patches side by side before and after wash testing on a white bench

Wash testing

Every new patch, lettering and number is tested on the sample pieces: ISO 6330 for 50 domestic cycles, or ISO 15797 for 50 industrial cycles. Pass means no broken stitches, puckering, cracking or edge lift, and colour fastness to ISO 105-C06 grade 4 or better. Photos and the record come with the sample; a fail means a retest, then a new method, and you hear first.
Row of twill epaulette slides embroidered with SECURITY

Epaulette slides

Embroidered on twill and sewn into a sleeve sized to the shirt's epaulette loop, so one slide fits every size.
Reflective SECURITY lettering being pressed across the back of an insulated jacket

Back SECURITY lettering

Reflective heat-transfer letters up to 12 in / 30 cm wide. Temperature, dwell time and pressure are set on the first piece for each style and fabric, so every re-order is pressed the same way.

Set-up record

For each patch, slide, lettering and number style: digitizing file, backing, stitch density, thread and ink colours and press settings, kept with your program. Re-orders and new starters use the same record.
Operator checking the first shoulder patch off a multi-head embroidery machine

First-piece check

The first piece off every embroidery machine and heat press is checked by line QC against the approved sample for position, size, colour and finish before the run continues.

Security Range Boundaries: Private Security Identity and the Clothing Layer

Built for private security companies and departments: washable uniforms made in volume, carrying your company's identity.
  • 01

    Insignia identifies private security

Every patch, slide and lettering carries your company name, your logo or the word SECURITY. POLICE, OFFICER, LAW ENFORCEMENT or SHERIFF wording, government seals, police-star-style badges, police or military rank insignia, Sillitoe chequered bands and camouflage are outside our lines. Police and military government tenders are outside our work.
  • 02

The range is the clothing layer

Stab-resistant and ballistic protection, duty belts and tactical vests come from their specialist suppliers and are worn over or with our garments.
